Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the safety of the merchandise and the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and records of duty status, adhering to all HOS regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle's interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of Georgia.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading and unloading tasks.
