Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in the Austin metro area
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as per FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and traffic conditions while maintaining on-time performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Uphold all safety protocols and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience (including training period)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Must be at least 21 years of age
