Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Georgia and neighboring states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle operations and delivery documentation
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and route changes
- Report maintenance issues and accidents immediately to fleet management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (no experience required)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overnight routes
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to climb in/out of trailer and handle up to 50lb freight
- Must be 21+ years of age
