Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van) during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between Washington D.C., Florida, and regional distribution centers
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Maintain clean driving record and logbook compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of over-the-road trucking experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work independently and adhere to strict schedules
