Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Georgia and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Represent Swift professionally at customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year driving experience or graduate of accredited CDL school
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
