Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local routes within the Omaha metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and billing documents for each stop.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to time schedules and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce (or 18 for intrastate if applicable).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language proficiently.
- Basic math skills for making change and reading delivery tickets.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
