Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and multi-state routes
- Inspect, maintain, and document vehicle pre/post-trip inspections
- Accurately complete electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Represent Swift professionally while interacting with customers and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience (or CDL school graduate)
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and logbook procedures
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
