Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods throughout California and the Western US
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and securement methods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Manage delivery schedules and provide real-time updates on shipment status
- Complete required paperwork and documentation for each delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience or recent CDL graduate
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
