Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods throughout Florida and beyond
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, DOT guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Load/unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards at all delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or CDL school graduate
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and cargo documentation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to obtain hazardous materials endorsement if required
