Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles within New York state and interstate routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route status and delays
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally at all customer sites
- Participate in ongoing safety and compliance training
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (NY state)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- No CDL experience required – training provided
