Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across New York State
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Complete delivery documentation and paperwork accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience OR recent CDL graduate
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and metro area
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
