Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles transporting goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation per FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL Class A license (training provided)
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic mechanical aptitude and vehicle knowledge
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods
