Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Adhere to strict schedules to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to obtain necessary endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples) as required by the role.
- Basic math skills for calculating fuel and mileage.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety on the road.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
