Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service while interacting with clients at delivery sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in possession.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training programs if required.
