Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks within a 150-mile radius of Tucson, AZ.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using straps, chains, and proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT hours of service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding cargo status and delivery times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws without exception.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or ability to obtain one through our training program).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new routes and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
