Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight safely using hand tools and basic equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to company safety policies and participate in ongoing safety training.
Qualifications
- A valid CDL Class A License (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
