Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with FMCSR regulations.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-downs and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required driver paperwork.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (Must be obtained before starting).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication.
