Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Conduct regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and hazardous materials handling procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and logbook compliance.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and sit for extended periods.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
