Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and security of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and delivery records (ELD/HOS compliance).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to learn and undergo company-sponsored training.
- Strong work ethic and time management skills.
