Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A truck in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as required.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) is required.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience (Class A) is preferred, but Entry Level candidates with a clean record and willingness to learn will be considered.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
