Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (dirt, gravel, asphalt)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and daily vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage loading/unloading operations at construction sites and quarries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Collaborate with dispatchers to optimize route efficiency
- Represent Durham Heavy Haul with professional conduct on job sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years dump truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- DOT medical certification current
- Familiarity with local Durham/Raleigh routes
- Strong safety record and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
