Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional freight delivery across Illinois and neighboring states
- Pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Accurate documentation of delivery manifests and mileage logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to strict safety protocols
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment and techniques
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago metro area traffic patterns and delivery routes
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
