Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on construction sites and public roads
- Transport construction materials including gravel, sand, asphalt, and debris
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members for timely deliveries
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area traffic patterns and construction zones
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks (e.g., tarping, securing loads)
- DOT medical certification
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
