Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local deliveries in San Jose Bay Area
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques (strapping, blocking, bracing)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate with dispatch via ELD system for real-time updates
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with California traffic laws and route planning
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Smartphone proficiency for digital logs and communication
