Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment to transport loose materials.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and daily paperwork as required by law.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and traffic conditions.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
