Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Load and unload trucks using hydraulic beds or manual methods efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized cab and keep the exterior of the vehicle presentable.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding schedules and load status.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B with Tank endorsement is preferred, but training is available for Class B or C drivers).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
