Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport loose materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, and asphalt.
- Load and unload materials using hydraulic tamps, grapples, or manual labor.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck bed at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding job status and route changes.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred; however, we will train candidates with a standard Class C license who demonstrate the right attitude.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background and driving record check.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Experience: No previous dump truck driving experience is required. Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general driving is a plus.
