Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate dump trucks on various roadways and job sites to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and asphalt.
- Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Loading/Unloading: Utilize hydraulic controls to load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and inspection reports as required.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and site supervisors regarding cargo status and delays.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (X or H).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical Fitness: Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with dump truck operations and basic mechanical maintenance.
