Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, soil, and gravel to and from job sites throughout Minneapolis.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely using standard loading equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate digital logs and delivery documentation for all trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding routes, traffic conditions, and job site requirements.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Keep the cab and truck bed clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul trucks.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods during loading/unloading.
- Strong knowledge of local Minneapolis streets and traffic patterns.
