Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts, skid steers, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate logs and adhere to all DOT and company traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and site conditions.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy dump trucks in construction or demolition.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of weight and load limits to prevent overloading.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor, including loading and unloading materials.
- Excellent time management and navigation skills.
