Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all trips, including mileage and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image while representing Apex Logistics at customer facilities.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Willingness to travel to and from Miami, FL and Georgia destinations.
