Job Overview
As a CDL Driver for Apex Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the West Coast. We are seeking reliable professionals who take pride in their work and safety record.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (E-Log) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and logistics terminology.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends if necessary.
