Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and asphalt.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and body, adhering to company standards.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding job status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul trucks.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Familiarity with local Reno, NV roads and construction sites is a plus.
