Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload trucks accurately, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logs (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes, delays, or safety concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul trucks.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record with no recent DUIs or major moving violations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains common to Arizona construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
