Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks and Class A or B commercial vehicles on various terrains.
- Load and unload materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt efficiently.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Tanker/Hazmat endorsements preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience in the construction or hauling industry.
- Must possess a clean driving abstract and pass a background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to pass a drug screening test.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and operating machinery.
