Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks on residential and commercial construction sites.
- Load and unload materials such as dirt, sand, gravel, and asphalt using standard loading equipment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and bed, adhering to company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and site safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding job progress.
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport and prevent material spillage.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of weight limits, load securement, and safety regulations.
- Must be local to the Chicago, IL area and available for overtime when needed.
