About the Role
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from various construction sites. We value safety, punctuality, and professional conduct above all else.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and daily delivery reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform basic truck maintenance, such as refueling and tire checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in dump truck or heavy haul operations.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Strong knowledge of local Henderson and Nevada roadways.
