Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate dump trucks to transport various materials to and from job sites.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in excellent working condition.
- Load Handling: Properly load, secure, and unload cargo while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Schedule Management: Adhere to assigned flexible schedules and meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Class A/B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Experience: Proven experience as a dump truck driver or in heavy equipment transport.
- Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Physical: Ability to lift heavy loads, climb in and out of the cab, and endure long hours on the road.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and site managers.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
