Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, or dirt.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload trucks using skid steers or forklifts as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Navigate job sites efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Keep the truck cab and equipment clean and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy hauling vehicles.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor on-site.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
