Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring all items are handled with care and protected from damage.
- Navigate efficiently through local traffic and adhere to all traffic laws and DOT regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients and handling delivery documentation accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, including routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Update delivery status in the company's tracking system in real-time to ensure transparency for dispatch and clients.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight delivery windows and route schedules without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent driving experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery role.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in unpredictable situations.
- Must possess a reliable smartphone for logging and navigation purposes.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required.
