Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks and hauling equipment on various job sites.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, dirt, rock) efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and job status.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and various terrains.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting is a plus.
