Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty dump trucks on various job sites and roadways.
- Transport loose materials, including soil, sand, gravel, and asphalt, to designated areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring weight distribution is safe.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and job site at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and dispatchers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of DOT regulations and vehicle maintenance.
