Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport and unload soil, rock, sand, gravel, and other construction materials.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes or delays.
- Ensure the truck bed and chute are kept clean and operational at all times.
- Load and unload materials safely, utilizing proper equipment when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with proper endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or serious moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of loading/unloading and extended driving shifts.
- Familiarity with the St. Louis area roads and construction sites is a plus.
