Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials (sand, gravel, asphalt, etc.) to designated sites efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal mechanical condition.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper distribution and safety protocols are followed during the process.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck cab and equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul equipment.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation systems and fleet management software.
