Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently in compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Navigate routes to Washington DC and within Georgia while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
