Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, gravel, and debris across job sites in the Dallas metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all materials transported
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures at all times
- Basic maintenance checks and reporting of vehicle issues to maintenance team
- Represent Dallas Heavy Transport professionally with clients and contractors
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in navigating GPS systems and Dallas-area routes
- Strong understanding of load securement and weight distribution principles
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
