Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, sand, asphalt) to job sites
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and document maintenance logs
- Maintain clean, compliant driving records per FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT compliance standards
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform minor equipment troubleshooting and basic repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or A with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metro area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Strong communication skills for client/site coordination
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- 21+ years of age with valid passport for occasional cross-border deliveries
