Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment on construction sites and haul routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload materials (gravel, sand, construction debris) with precision
- Navigate complex Alaskan terrain and weather conditions year-round
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for timely deliveries
- Maintain clean vehicles and secure loads during transport
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with tanker/double/triple endorsements
- 2+ years commercial driving experience in heavy equipment
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience operating dump trucks in off-road conditions
- Knowledge of Alaska DOT weight regulations
- Strong spatial awareness and depth perception
- Ability to work in extreme cold temperatures (-40°F)
