Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport sand, gravel, asphalt, and construction debris
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for each trip
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate loading/unloading schedules
- Ensure proper weight distribution and securement of materials
- Respond professionally to route changes and delivery priority adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience operating dump trucks
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with San Diego County construction sites and routes
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor repairs
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening
