Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment at construction sites and landfill facilities
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Load and unload construction materials including gravel, sand, and demolition debris
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all transport activities
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with site supervisors and dispatch for efficient routing and scheduling
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and construction zones
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations for heavy equipment operation
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
